Czechs and balances

There's a delicious irony developing over the Lisbon treaty ratification process. Ireland are voting again today because they gave the wrong answer last time. However people, they've got themselves believing that the very fabric of the European Union will tear apart should they vote NO again and cabillions have been spent by various businessmen and ex-statesmen to persuade their population to vote YES this time.

It's irrelevant however. Even if they vote YES which they're almost certainly going to do, the crucial decision now rests with the Czech President Vaclav Claus who is awesome and I love him because he has decided to delay his country's signing of the treaty until next year.

Seventy years ago the Czechs were sold down the river to Nazi Germany when Britain and France "gave" Hitler the Sudetanland. The Munich Agreement can now come back to bite those same countries who betrayed the Czechs as they now have the opportunity of scuppering this nonsense Lisbon treaty and at the same time giving David Cameron a tremendous brown trousers moment.

Cameron declared a while ago that he'd definitely offer the British people a referendum on this treaty should it not be ratified by the time they take over in Government probably next May. He could say this because it never occurred to him that it might not be law by then. He hadn't factored on an Irish NO vote or the stubborn resilience of the Czechs.

Obviously they'll find a way around it, but the more they move the goal posts, the more they change the rules, the more this whole Union is exposed as the undemocratic commy pinko nonsense it really is. It's EUSSR and no mistake. It won't work. Many greater statesmen than Sarkozy have tried over the centuries. Napoleon and a string of Germans with appalling facial furniture couldn't unite Europe, so I see no reason this present bunch of slimy Euro-elitist parasites can do manage it either. Gertcha!
